What should I wear to my Denver Rolfing appointment
Rolfing is different than massage. A body assessment and movement may be required during the session. A “Rolfing Uniform” should be worn under street clothes coming in.
For Men: Boxers briefs
For Women: Panties and a bra or loose sports bra
For those not comfortable in this level of clothing spandex shorts and/or tank top are an option.
How Many Rolfing Sessions Do I Need?
Traditional Rolfing is done in ten sessions. Each session addresses a certain territory of the body, but is customized to your unique needs. It is a strategic design to get the body in better alignment. Sessions should be done 1 to 3 weeks from each other. If you start a ten series and need a larger break or need to stop, it is recommended to do so after sessions 3 or 7.
Single sessions by themselves are considered “Fix It” or maintenance work and focus on just a few choice areas of the body. Rolfing is detailed work, therefore, the whole body cannot be addressed in one session. Single sessions are still effective in relieving body tension and pain, however; a ten series has longer lasting and more complete results.
what is a tensegrity Ball
A Tensegrity Ball is a structure made of singular components that are held together by tension to maintain its shape. It is a great way to represent the human body. When one component of the ball is pulled on the entire structure changes shape. As humans our activities and attitudes shape our bodies a whole. As a Certified Rolfer™️ it is my goal to get you into an improved alignment that serves your daily life so that you are feeling your best.
